Life After School: Modeling, Fashion Styling, Interior Styling, Blogging, Portfolio, and Being Published.

From Being A Student To A Professional Creative
I stepped away from college to focus on mental health prior to knowing what medical challenges I was facing, at the behest of my school's dean. I sought professional writing opportunities, eventually working as a blogger and stylist for a 2nd hand for non profit regional retail chain in DFW, TX. My collaborative work covered modeling, fashion styling, interior styling, blogging, digital media marketing, public relations, event planning, and web design for www.hopefoolprojects.com which has grown into a large body of work over the years.
During this time, I collaborated with photographer Allison Redner, styling interiors in my home and fashion shoots in our city to create compelling visuals that complemented our storytelling. Together, we co-created visual content which was published on the store walls to highlight second-hand fashion and sustainable home décor.
I successfully secured sponsorships and curated live events with the CFO that promoted sustainable living—encouraging our largely student populated community to avoid fast fashion and mass-produced home products in favor of thrifted second-hand goods that supported causes such as cancer research, animal treatment, Ronald Mc Donald House, and more. Our mission was to challenge the culture of disposable consumerism and prove that style and sustainability can coexist without breaking the bank.
Our creative efforts later led to a published feature in Real Rad Records for a seasonal article on Real Rad Street Style.
